The 2024 State of The Sector Survey provides an integral snapshot into the community and voluntary sector. The data will help CNA identify trends, address challenges, share experiences and find collective solutions for the sector as a whole.
The 2024 survey is a snapshot of the past two years into the
state of the Not-For-Profit Sector.

LONGITUDINAL STUDY
This survey has been sent out biennially for 10 years and is part of a longitudinal study to show trends and evolving situations in our community sector.
QUALITY RESEARCH
To ensure that the findings of the survey are professionally analysed, we have contracted the brilliant researcher Dr Jane Horan.
NATIONAL REACH
The idea for this survey is that it is sent out as far and wide as possible and that as many organisations as possible fill this out.
FOR NON-FOR-PROFITS
Be they sports groups; kaupapa Māori organisations; social service agencies; community gardens, it doesn’t matter – the qualifier is that they are Not-for-Profit.

We only need one survey filled out per organisation.
Are you the right person to fill this out? If not, please pass this onto the best person within your organisation.
Your responses are confidential. We will write a report where the data from the survey will be consolidated and no organisation will be named or identifiable.
